President Donald J. Trump won all 77 counties in Oklahoma for the second time on Tuesday as state voters set a record for ballots cast in a presidential race.

Trump received 1,018,870 votes on Tuesday and followed his 2016 victory margin of 65.32% with a margin of 65.37%, according to complete but unofficial results.

Former Vice President Joe Biden received 503, 289 votes, 32%.

Trump extended a streak of Republicans winning all Oklahoma counties to five straight presidential elections.

A total of 1,558,627 Oklahoma voters cast ballots in the presidential race, reflecting 69% of registered voters.

The previous high was 1.46 million in 2008.

The tally on Tuesday was 105,635 votes higher than in 2016. Oklahoma voters this year also set records for early voting in person and absentee mail-in voting.

"I am delighted about the enthusiasm and engagement shown by Oklahoma voters in this election,” Oklahoma Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said Wednesday.

“We saw a surge in voter registrations, set a record for mail absentee ballots and in-person absentee` early' votes, and had heavy turnout on Election Day. Oklahoma voters set a record for the most votes ever cast for president in the history of our state.

"Considering this was a Presidential General Election conducted during a pandemic, o ne week after a major ice storm, with a record level of voter participation, it went fairly smoothly. I am very proud of our county election officials, poll workers, and State Election Board staff for their perseverance, professionalism and dedication to free and fair elections."

Biden's best showing was in Oklahoma County, where he got 48% of the vote. Trump got 49% and beat Biden by just 3,329 votes out of 294,460 cast in the state's most populous county.

As in 2016, Trump' s biggest margins came in rural counties. Cimarron County, in the Panhandle, again gave Trump his best margin, 92%, with a total of 1,050 votes cast.

The last Democratic presidential candidate to win a county in Oklahoma was Al Gore, in 2000. Since then, John Kerry, former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Biden have been shut out.

The last Democratic presidential candidate to win the state was former President Lyndon B. Johnson, in 1964.
