-

Sunday's NBA game between the Boston Celtics and t he Miami Heat has been postpo ned, a person familiar with the situation has confirmed to USA TODAY Sports.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The Celtics would have been without nine players for the game, seven of them out due to the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the team announced earlier. They are: Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Javonte Green, Semi Oj el eye, Tristan Thompson, Grant Williams and Robert Williams.

Romeo Lang ford is recovering from right wrist surgery and Kemba Walker is out with a left knee injury, according to the team. That left the Celtics with eight players available, the minimum required to play. Tipoff was set for 7 p.m. ET.

WIZARDS: Washington likely will be without center Thomas Bryant for the remainder of the season because of a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Bryant is one of only two players who started all 10 games so far this season for the Wizards. He got hurt after incidental contact with two Miami players during the first quarter of the Wizards' loss to the Heat on Saturday night. Bryant has averaged 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds on 65% shooting this season. CLIPPERS 130, BULLS 127:

Kawhi Leonard scored a season-high 35 points, going over 10,000 in his career, and Los Angeles rallied to beat Chicago on Sunday. Leonard reached the milestone on one of his five 3-pointers in the third quarter, when he scored 21 points. JAZZ 96, PISTONS 86:

Donovan Mitchell scored 13 of his 28 points in a decisive first quarter, and Utah held on for a victory over Detroit on Sunday.
