Events

Guided Walking Tour: 10-11 a.m. Jan. 30, Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W Reno Ave. Free, but registration required at www.myriadgardens.com. Meet in South Lobby Visitor Center. Geared toward adults; children and leashed dogs welcome. Expand your knowledge of Oklahoma plants and find inspiration for your own garden.

Workshops

Landscape Design Workshop: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 26, Canadian County Fairgrounds, 200 N Country Club Drive, El Reno. Presented by Canadian County Extension Service. Cost is $10. Must register by calling 262-0155. Open to home gardeners, landscape professionals, and amateur horticulturalists.

Tropical Paradise Photography Workshop: 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 30, Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W Reno Ave. Members $20, nonmembers $25. Registration required at www.myriadgardens.org. Led by Doug Hoke, director of photography for The Oklahoman. Photograph the plants inside the Crystal Bridge Conservatory before it closes for a two-year renovation. Learn how to capture vibrant photos of desert and rain forest ecosy-stems. Bring your own smart phone or camera. Masks and social distancing required.
