Cavs to trade or release Porter after locker-room outburst
The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the verge of trading or releasing 2019 fi rstround pick Kevin Porter Jr. after an outburst in the Cavs' locker room on Friday, a person familiar with the details told USA TODAY Sports.
The person requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the situation.
According to the person, Porter became angry when he learned his locker space had been moved for Taurean Prince, who was acquired in the four-team blockbuster trade involving James Harden. Porter began yelling and throwing food, resulting in a confrontation with Cavs general manager Koby Altman.
Porter ,20, has not played this season because of personal reasons and was attending his first game of the season on Friday.
