Our loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and brother, Russell M. Frisbie, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2021. He was born in Independen­ce, KS, on May 21, 1926, to Ross and Helen Frisbie. After graduating from high school, he served his country honorably in both World War II and the Korean War. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineerin­g in 1950 from Kansas State University. Russell moved to Bartlesvil­le to work for Phillip’s Petroleum Company, from which he retired at the age of 58. It was in Bartlesvil­le that he met the love of his life, Marjorie Parks. They were married on May 10, 1952 and loved each other every day for 69 years. Together they raised three children, Dan, George, and Anita. The family later moved to Oklahoma City. They joined Cherokee Hills Christian Church and were members for over 50 years. Russell and Marjorie were faithfully involved in the church, including Russell serving as an Elder. Russell will be remembered for his work ethic, his faith, and the love he had for his family, most especially for Marjorie. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Lee Frisbie; and brother, Charles Vernon Frisbie. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Frisbie; son George Frisbie & daughterin-law Ann; daughter, Anita Frisbie; daughter-in-law Andi Frisbie; sister Sara Scheffler & brother-in-law Ted; 4 grandchild­ren; Ross & wife Abby, Lela & husband Drew, Eric & wife Erica, Megan & husband Adrian; 6 great grandsons; as well as many other family members, church family, and friends. Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Thursday at Bill Merritt Funeral Service. Services will be 10am Friday at Cherokee Hills Christian Church. Services will be streamed live on Facebook @BillMerrit­tFuneral. Graveside services will be 3pm Friday at Dewey Cemetery, Dewey, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to Cherokee Hills Christian Church or to a charity of your choice.
