ARDMORE - Betty Ruth (Witten) Kidd, age 93 of Ardmore, Oklahoma, died February 20th, 2021. She was born July 23rd, 1927 in Oklahoma City to Jess and Rita Witten. She grew up in Anadarko, Oklahoma and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1945. After graduation, she went to Hill’s Business School in Oklahoma City. She worked at the Oklahoma State Highway Department. She married Don F. Kidd in 1947 and they lived in Oklahoma City for forty-eight years. To this union three sons were born, Jeffrey Don, Gregory Hal, and Mark Monroe. While living in Oklahoma City she was a member of St. Andrews Presbyteri­an Church. The church was a very important part of her life as she raised her children. She was very committed to her boys, her children, and great grandchild­ren. She spent many happy vacations with them. Upon retirement in 1996, she moved to Ardmore and lived there until her death. When Betty moved to Ardmore she joined The First United Methodist Church. Betty was able to use a walker and take care of her self until receiving the Covid vaccine.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Don Kidd, her parents; one brother, Harold Witten; two sons, Jeff and Mark Kidd and special aunt and uncle, Lois Hill, who were like a second mother and father and her special cousin that was like a sister, Deloris Mock. She is survived by her son, Greg Kidd of Ardmore; daughterin-law, Leslie Kidd of Edmond; one very special cousin who is like a sister, Gloria Welch of Purcell; grandchild­ren, Keri Taylor and her husband Rodney Taylor of Ardmore; Dylan Kidd and wife Amanda Campbell of Edmond; Travis Kidd of Edmond; and Jordan Kidd Kelley and her husband Brian of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by six great children Avery Lowe; Konnor Kidd; William Kelley; Grace Kelley; Catharine Roos; and Caroline Roos. Also, Bunkie Witten of Park City Utah; Terri Taylor and Nikki Dunn of Lakewood, CO and several cousins and great nieces. Her son Greg Kidd, will always remember his mom for her little laugh and unconditio­nal love she had for her husband, three sons, grandchild­ren, and great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Craddock Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Resurrecti­on Memorial Cemetery on Oklahoma City on Friday, February 26th at 2:00 p.m.
