Patricia Hook

OKLAHOMA CITY - PatriciaAnn (Pat) Hook born January 20, 1936 in Norman, Oklahoma passed peacefully into God’s hands August 24, 2021, at the age of 85. She was the daughter of Doyle and Lillian Thorp. Pat married the love of her life Gene Hook in September 1953, graduated fromCapitolHillHigh School in 1954 and received her BS in Education from Central State College where she was a Gamma Phi Beta Sorority member. She worked as a substitute teacher and then as an IRS auditor for many years until she retired in 1991.

Pat was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church and the Agape Bible Class. A woman of strong faith with a servant’s heart for hospitality. She loved hosting family and friends in her home. She had been a member of OKSMA& ASG Sewing Clubs and loved to travel with her sewing friends to quilt shows.

Pat was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and true friend in Christ and she will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 68 years, Clarence Eugene (Gene) Hook, son, Randal Hook and wife Denise; daughter-in-law, Sara Hook; son, Phillip Hook and wife Brandy; daughter, Rhonda Sperling and husbandMichael; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren with one more on the way, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, Doyle and Lillian Thorp; sisters, Donna Taylor-Duhon and Tamara Hostetler; sister-in-law, Clareece Dinwiddie; son, Dr. Gregory Hook; grandson, Chris-topher Ryan Hook.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at SouthernHills Baptist Church. Interment following at Resthaven Cemetery. Viewing/Visitation will be from12:00 pm – 8:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2021 at Resthaven FuneralHome, the family will be receiving guests from 5-7 PM. The family wishes those attending the viewing or funeral services to please wear a mask.
