Livestock report from the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 8,750; Last week: Holiday; Last year: 8,737 Compared to the last sale two weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers $5-$8 lower. Steer calves $8-$10 lower. Heifer calves lightly tested and steady to $3 lower. Demand light to moderate for all classes. Cattle futures have been trading in the red for some time and closed sharply lower again today. Slaughter cattle trade mostly steady in the south last week while beef prices declined. More new crop calves beginning to show and demand is light for these. Quality is plain to average.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large No. 1: few 300400 lbs. $190-$193; 415 lbs. $186-$192; 450-500 lbs. $165-$178; 500-550 lbs. $158-$170.50, un- weaned $143-$152; 550-600 lbs. $152-$161, un-weaned $145-$149; 600-650 lbs. $155-$165, un-weaned $146.50-$149.50; 650-700 lbs. $145-$161, unweaned $140.75- $144; 700-800 lbs. $145-$156.25; 800-900 lbs. $139-$150.50; few 900-950 lbs. $137$143.
