Jeanne Marie (Meagher) Boese
JUPITER, FL - Jeanne was born in Oklahoma City, OK on September 19, 1935 and passed away in Jupiter, FL on October 6, 2021. At a young age, Jeanne and her future husband Don were rocked together in the nursery at Shartel Church of God in OKC. They married in 1954 and moved to North Palm Beach in 1957.
Jeanne graduated from Northwest Classen High School in OKC in 1953 and attended Lindenwood College in Missouri. She was an accomplished pianist and the ultimate party planner. They were known for their 4th of July parties, dinner parties, countless baby and wedding showers, and church parties in their home. She was an avid bridge player but loved the socializing more than the bridge. She was a “Pink Lady” at Good Samaritan, a Brownie troop leader, and enjoyed helping others. Many relied on her excellent etiquette and fashion advice.
She loved to travel with Don, and her daughter Karen and son-in-law Ken. They made many great memories together during their 67 years of marriage. Over the last two decades, all trips included intense Rummicube playing. They were season ticket holders to the Kravis Center, Maltz Theater, and Eissey Theater. She loved to watch great musical talent.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Anna Lois Meagher of Oklahoma City, and her son Kevin Boese. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband, Don Boese, her daughter Karen and son-in-law Ken Worth of Yukon, OK. She is also survived by loving extended family in the Oklahoma City area. She was always grateful to her dear friends for their love and support through all seasons of life. Special thanks to Susan Goebel for her special care and attention in Jeanne’s last days.
