The Brick becomes cashless ballpark

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will be cashless facility at all points of sale it was announced on Wednesday by the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Credit and debit card purchases will be accepted throughout the ballpark and team-controlled parking lots.

Digital payments, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and Venmo, will be accepted at concession stands as well.

People who do not have a credit or debit card or any other form of digital payment can exchange cash for a Dodgers Dollars card at the ticket office. Dodgers Dollar cards can only be used at concession stands. Credit cards and debit cards will need to be used to buy items at the team store.

Lyons' three homers carry OU past Shockers

Grace Lyons became the latest bombardier for the OU softball team late Tuesday night.

The senior infielder hit three home runs, including a two-run, walk-off homer in the bottom of the fifth inning, to give the No. 1-ranked Sooners a 10-1 run-rule victory over Wichita State at Marita Hynes Field.

Lyons, who now has 12 homers on the season, finished with five RBIs to help OU notch its 25th run-rule victory of the spring. Oklahoma is 30-0 overall.

Wichita State (17-11) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning behind a single and an error. It was all Sooners after that. OU freshman pitcher Jordy Bahl improved to 13-0, striking out 11. The Shockers managed just three hits.

over Baylor, added a homer in the bottom of the first inning Tuesday to tie the game 1-1. She finished the game with two hits and three RBIs.

The Sooners next play 6:30 p.m. Friday in the first of a two-game set against Alabama-Birmingham in Norman.

HIGH SCHOOLS: Bruce Hobgood, who guided Lomega to four Class B girls state basketball championsh­ips in the late 1980s and early 1990s, has died at age 69 in El Reno. Hobgood had 629 victories as a girls coach, which ranks 25th all-time in state history. ... Former Moore standout Raychael Harjo committed to Abilene Christian University on Tuesday. Harjo spent her freshman year at the University of Central Florida before entering the transfer portal after the season. ... Longtime Newcastle baseball coach Mike Crossley earned his 700th career win when the Racers swept Harding Charter Prep in a doublehead­er on Monday. All 700 of Crossley's wins have come at Newcastle. The Racers are 7-3 in this season. Crossley achieved 1,000 career softball wins in 2019.

NFL: The Baltimore Ravens have signed coach John Harbaugh to a threeyear contract extension through 2025. Harbaugh is entering his 15th season at the helm. ... Malcolm Jenkins is retiring after a 13-year NFL career in which he establishe­d himself as one of the league's best all-around safeties, most durable players and leading voices for social justice. Jenkins helped both the New Orleans Saints and Philadelph­ia Eagles win their only Super Bowl and made a major impact off the field as an activist, entreprene­ur and philanthro­pist.

NBA: The Boston Celtics say center Robert Williams III is expected to miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair torn cartilage in his left knee. Williams, a staunch defender, was averaging 10 points, 9.6 rebounds and just over two blocks this season.
