Starlight Supper returns as outdoor picnic
Starlight Supper will return for its ninth year at 7 p.m. May 26 as an outdoor picnic in Kerr Park. Tickets for Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership’s sellout fundraising event go on sale April 14.
Guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a curated picnic featuring some the city’s premier chefs. Patrons will dine under the event’s signature sparkling lights as they enjoy a performance by jazz quartet Spunk Adams & Friends.
Guests can experience a picnic on the lawn or at a table, though table seating is limited. Each picnic-for-two box will include five savory dishes, dessert, wine and all the necessities. New Planet Fitness location donates $5,000 to Boys & Girls Club
NORMAN — Planet Fitness representatives and local officials celebrated the opening of its first club in Norman with a ribbon cutting ceremony April 7. To celebrate, Planet Fitness Norman donated $5,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Norman to advance its mission of providing a safe and caring environment to Norman Public School students. Former Oklahoman collaborates on limited-edition fundraiser scarf (RED), the organization created by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 to rally people and businesses to help end AIDS, has added the COVID-19 pandemic to its fight.
(RED) and Gagosian announce the launch of a 100% silk twill scarf by revered American artist and former Oklahoma City resident Ed Ruscha. All sales will go to (RED) to support the fight for equitable access to COVID relief in the world’s most vulnerable communities. Doubling the impact, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match every dollar raised.
