OKLAHOMA SPORTS HALL OF FAME: Former OU and Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris will be the guest speaker at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame Leadership Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. April 21. NFL: According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, contract talks between the Arizona Cardinals and quarterbac­k Kyler Murray have gone nowhere and Murray’s agent, Eric Burkhardt, informed the team he was removing his opening proposal. Pelissero added it will be a “surprise” if Murray, a former OU star, were to play on his present deal, which will pay him $5.5 million in 2022.

GOLF: Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra announced that he will return to Oklahoma State as a fifth-year senior for the 2022-23 season. He said one more year of college competitio­n will better prepare him for a profession­al career.

HOCKEY: Jean Potvin, who played briefly for the old Oklahoma City Stars during the 1978-79 Central Hockey League season, died at age 72. The defenseman went on to play 11 years in the NHL after his stay in Oklahoma City.

SOFTBALL: OU softball captain Lynnsie Elam has been selected as one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award for softball student-athletes.The award honors NCAA Division I seniors or graduate students that have notable achievemen­ts in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character, and competitio­n.

TRACK AND FIELD: Allyson Felix, the most decorated woman in Olympic track and field history, has announced 2022 will be her final season.
