Dayton Forsythe, Dale

6-foot-2 | Guard | Sophomore

The story: Forsythe broke out as one of the best players in the state, and he guided Dale to the Class 2A state title. He averaged 21.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest and earned MVP honors of the state tournament.

Luke Gray, Oklahoma Christian

6-foot-7 | Forward | Sophomore

The story: Gray also burst onto the scene as one of the best forwards in the state, leading the Saints into the Class 3A semifinals. He averaged 20.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game and was named MVP of the Greater Metro Athletic Conference.

Bai Jobe, Community Christian

6-foot-5 | Forward | Junior The story: Jobe, who’s one of the nation’s top football recruits in the 2023 class, is also a beast on the hardwood. He led the Royals to a runner-up finish in Class 3A, earning All-Tournament honors. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in the GMAC and averaged 16.1 points and 10.4 boards per game.

Reid Lovelace, Crossings Christian

5-foot-11 | Guard | Senior The story: Lovelace missed the early part of the year because of an injury, but it didn’t hold him back from leading the Knights into the semifinals in their first season in Class 4A. A first-team All-Conference selection in the GMAC, he averaged 16.5 points and 4.4 assists per game.

Jaden Nickens, Millwood

6-foot-5 | Guard | Freshman

The story: Nickens lived up to the hype during his freshman season. He was pivotal in Millwood’s run to the Class 3A title, earning MVP honors of the state tournament and Offensive Player of the Year in the GMAC. He averaged 15.3 points per game along with 3.7 assists.

Coach of the Year: Jeff Edmonson, Dale
