OKLAHOMA CITY - Reverend Leon Wilson, 87, peacefully passed away surrounded by family & was welcomed at Heaven’s Gate by his Heavenly father & a host of family on Monday, April 18, 2022. Leon was born in Oklahoma City on July 17, 1934 to Orville Leon & Mary Gladys (Layton) Wilson. A lifetime servant of God he surrendere­d to the ministry in 1952, never retiring he remained active in spreading the Gospel until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents; precious granddaugh­ter Candice Shaw & brother Leroy Wilson. He is survived by his loving & devoted wife Sharolyn of 68 years; son Edwin Wilson & wife Nancy; daughters Sharol Cottingham & husband David; Anita Pease & husband Damon; 4 grandchild­ren Valerie Wilson, Brett Shaw & wife Dahrenda, Aimee Walther & husband Kyle, & ShaLyn Cottingham; brother Larry Wilson & wife Sharon & sister Janice Haswell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM, the family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 PM at Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary at South Lakes 4000 S.W. 119th OKC, OK 73173. Services to celebrate his life & home going will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 22, 2022 at First Moore Baptist Church 301 NE 27th St, Moore, OK 73160.
