On April 23, 2022 our Lord welcomed his son, Billie D. Pittman to his heavenly home. Bill was born on May 9, 1928 to Roy D. Pittman and Jewell (George) Pittman near Duncan, OK.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, at 10:30AM at Whitt Funeral Home (Duncan) with Pastor Ron Motley officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.whittfh.com.

Bill graduated from Central High School near Marlow. He married Dora Ann Brabits in January 1947 at Wichita Falls, TX. Their family was completed with the births of their children: Patsy, Bill J., and Susan.

He started his farming career raising Hereford cattle, wheat and hay for his father-in-law. As Billie was learning to farm, he learned about conservation of the land and later was employed at Stephens County Soil Conservation District, retiring with 40 years of service.

He was a member of Westside Christian Church. He took an interest in the Masonic Lodge and not only completed his 32nd degree but went on to become a 33rd degree Mason, the highest rank available.

Farming continued with the help of his son (Bill J). In 2021 the farm became an Oklahoma Centennial Farm, only 7 of which are in Stephens County.

Bill became a daily visitor at Carl’s Jr. where he met a lifelong friend, Miss Winnie. They attended the Opera at Comanche together every Thursday night.

Bill is survived by his 3 sisters; 1 brother; children: Patsy Smith and husband Ricky, Bill J. Pittman and wife Claudia, Susan Dresser and husband Robin; grandchildren: Stephanie Byers and husband Matt, Chalaine Dobbs and husband Brett, Bobby and Jerry Dresser; and great grandchildren: Maddux Byers, Britton Dobbs and one on the way, Faith, GraCee, Merci and Addyson Dresser.

Deceased family members include his wife, Dora Pittman; parents, Roy D. and Effie Pittman, Jewell and Deb Van Treese; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. Thanks to all the doctors and nurses that made Bill’s last days pleasant.
