OKLAHOMA CITY - Norma Lenora Poeling, 91, of Edmond, OK. passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022 with her two granddaugh­ters by her side in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born October 10, 1930, in Meridian, Oklahoma to William and Opal McEwen Gathers. She attended Arcadia High School and graduated in 1948. Norma married the love of her life, Clifford, in June of 1948 and spent 58 wonderful years together traveling, playing golf and as members of the St. Eugene Catholic Church. Norma retired from Cain’s Coffee Company after 20 years as Administra­tive Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Purchasing and Manufactur­ing. Her hobbies consisted of many different things, but her favorites were playing golf, baking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her loving husband Clifford, Norma is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John M. Gathers and Harold (Bud) Gathers, and her son, Richard (11 years old). Norma is survived by her daughter Jaqueline “Jackie” and husband Dale Sutto, granddaugh­ters Shannon and husband Tommy Rutledge, Kelly and husband Tony McHolland, sister Nettie Jean and husband Bud Habben, six great-grandchild­ren and two great-great grandchild­ren, all who loved her very much. A special thank you to her caregivers at Proveer Quail Creek and the wonderful angels at Valir Hospice Care. Services will be held at the Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at the Resurrecti­on Memorial Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway, OKC, OK 73132, on Friday, April 29th at 1:00 PM. Viewing will be from 12:00PM to 1:00PM before service time. Memorials may be made to Valir Health Hospice Care at 800 NW 6th St, OKC, OK 73106.
