Voting is open for the next oklahoman.com high school athlete of the week ballot for April 18-24.

The deadline is noon Friday. Athlete of the week voting occurs each week during all high school sports seasons and recognizes athletes across all sports. Here are the nominees for April 18-24:

Baseball

Kasen Rogers, Sr., Shawnee: The Rose State signee threw 6 2⁄ innings on the

mound to strike out 10 batters and give up just three hits. Rogers was 2-1 last week.

Kade Varner, So., Crescent: Varner hit 3-of-5 (.600) last week and also was dominant on the mound to lead Crescent to two wins. He struck out six batters in four innings pitched.

Boys golf

Preston Albee, Fr., Choctaw: Albee finished second with a 71 at the Choctaw Invitation­al last week, helping the Yellowjack­ets to a runner-up finish. Tristan Burnham, Jr., Kingfisher: Burnham won his conference tournament at Winter Creek in Blanchard on Wednesday by two strokes and also finished sixth at Boiling Springs on Monday.

Girls golf

Olivia Coit, Sr., Edmond Memorial: Coit’s stellar season continued last week, as she won tournament­s at Lincoln East and Earlywine, helping the Bulldogs win both as a team.

Lucy Darr, So., Stillwater: She helped the Pioneers to a runner-up finish at the Putnam North Tournament at Lincoln East with a third-place finish, shooting 72.

Boys soccer

Eli Langford, Jr., Edmond North: In two victories last week, Langford was pivotal, scoring two goals and adding three assists.

Federico Palacios, Jr., Northwest Classen: In helping the Knights go 2-0 last week, Palacios scored three goals and had one assist.

Owen Whitman, Jr., Norman North: Whitman recorded five assists for the Timberwolv­es, which sit atop the district after wins against Mustang and Moore.

Girls soccer

Layla Nassar, Sr., Heritage Hall: She scored one goal and had two assists in a 10-0 win against Newkirk and has helped the Chargers not allow a goal this season.

Alix Regier, So., Yukon: She scored six goals in two district wins last week to help the Millers solidify their third seed in the standings.

Slowpitch softball

Bella Butler, Jr., Choctaw: Butler went 8-for-11 (.727) from the plate with four home runs, two doubles and 11 RBI. Choctaw won all three of its games. Rylee Houska, So., Deer Creek: Houska batted 17-for-19 (.895) and had a .905 on-base percentage with five home runs and 12 RBI. She hit three doubles and scored 14 times.

Boys tennis

Owen Fellrath, Fr., Heritage Hall: He placed second in No. 2 singles at Edmond North’s tournament last week. Jared Steward, Sr., Carl Albert: He placed second in No. 2 singles at the Public School Championsh­ips last week.

Girls tennis

Paige Ludlam, Sr., Deer Creek: Ludlam and her partner claimed the No. 1 doubles title at Edmond North’s tournament last week.

Olivia Orgill, Jr., Edmond Memorial: Orgill and Ana Grace Boggs teamed up and had an outstandin­g tournament at Edmond North, placing second in No. 1 doubles.

Boys track

Johnnie Jones, Sr., Piedmont: He won the 400-meter dash with a school-record time of 50.63 seconds at Midwest City’s meet Saturday.

Chapman Neal, Sr., Bethany: He earned Western Conference titles in the 800 (2:05.24) and 4x400 (3:29.52) in Elgin on Saturday.

Zander Wood, Sr., Shawnee: He won the 800 in 2:10.15 and helped the Wolves’ 4x800 relay team place first with a time of 8:53.15 at Midwest City’s invitation­al on Saturday. Wood also placed second in the 1,600 (4:56.03).

Girls track

Kinzley Battles, Fr., Tuttle: She won the Western Conference championsh­ip in the 800 with a time of 2:34.92. The Tigers finished three points ahead of defending state champion Weatherfor­d as they claimed the team title.

Abby Hobgood, Fr., Cashion: She won the 200 in 27.85 as Cashion placed second at Watonga’s meet Friday.

Mattie Richardson, Sr., Washington: She claimed Canadian Valley Conference championsh­ips in the 100 (13.22) and long jump (15-feet, 11-inches) in Pauls Valley on Tuesday.
