MIDWEST CITY - Harold Clifford Higgins, Sr was born on December 22, 1928, in Seminole, Oklahoma. He passed away on February 24, 2023, in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Harold was the oldest son of Eva Godwin and Loy Higgins, who preceded him in death in 1980. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years Jean, his older sister, Ermajean Higgins, in 1930, and younger sister, Claudine Harlow, in 2020. Harold served in the U.S. Army from January 1947 to July 1948. Then he served three years in the Army Reserves. In 1948 Harold married Bonnie Jaco. They had a daughter named Vickie Lynn ( Jefferson). In 1952 Harold married Wilma Sayre. Their children are Harold Clifford Jr, Eva (Galluzzi), and Thomas. In 1980 Harold married Erma Jean Eason Luciano. They were married until her death in 2020. He has 2 stepdaught­ers, Vicki (Dimmer) and Angela (Bunch). Harold began his civil service career as a clerk typist at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. He served in Orlando, Florida; Salina, Kansas; Abilene, Texas; and returned to Tinker where he worked until retirement, after serving 39 years. Harold was a member of First Baptist Church of Midwest City, where he served as a deacon. He taught Sunday School for 40 years and served on the Faith Team. Harold was a member of Masonic Lodge 536, the American Legion, the Oklahoma City Gun Club, and the National Rifle Associatio­n. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Harold is survived by three sisters: Pat Gausemeier, Willa Perry, and Carol LaFevers. He is survived by two sons: Cliff (Vickie) and Tom, two daughters: Vickie Jefferson ( Victor) and Eva Galluzzi ( John), 8 grandchild­ren, and 18 great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his extended Luciano family: Vicki Dimmer (Lee) and Angela Bunch (Larry), 5 grandchild­ren, 10 great grandchild­ren and 2 great great grandchild­ren. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends. Viewing will be Tuesday, February 28th from 12-8 pm and Wednesday, March 1, from 8-8 pm. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
