Rebranded Osteria is on the move in OKC
Chef Jonathon Stranger is moving and rebranding his Italian restaurant Osteria at the end of the year.
Announced early Tuesday, Osteria will conclude service at its current location, 6430 Avondale Drive, on New Year’s Eve and move to a new location in the Britton District in 2024.
The restaurant also will rebrand as Osteria Italian-American Diner. According to a release from One Table Hospitality, ownership group of Osteria, the new location will better support the vision and meaning of Osteria, “simple restaurant” in Italian.
“When we opened in 2018, I had a chef-partner, and Osteria was our shared take on Italian neighborhood food. His point of view was from growing up in Italy and mine, from living and working in OKC and NYC,” said Stranger, executive chef at One Table Hospitality. “Osteria Italian-American Diner will be my full vision realized, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”
Once open in its new location, guests can expect a fun, lively, and most importantly, delicious place to dine, morning, noon and night. The restaurant will blend some things from the current location with Stranger’s own touches for a new experience.
“It’s a relatively simple concept, yet Oklahoma City doesn’t have anything like it,” Stranger said.
While the Nichols Hills location will close and rebrand, the Osteria location at Will Rogers World Airport will remain unchanged.
A final prix fixe New Year’s Eve chef ’s dinner will take place at Osteria before the move. Reservations can be made at https://resy.com/cities/okc/osteria-okc.
