Deer Clan Books to host author talks

Deer Clan Books, 3905 N. College, in Bethany, will host Justin Jones, author of “The Devil’s Smoke House”; Crystal Inman, author of “Canary and Canary Dark Descent”; and Joy Don Baker, author of “Nursekeepe­rs” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14. Signed copies of the authors’ books will be available to purchase.

Patsy King Hosman, Mark Eaton to speak at Full Circle

Patsy King Hosman will sign “The Other Victims” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at Full Circle Bookstore, 1900 NW Expressway. “The Other Victims” is a story of a family recovering from a tragic and baffling massacre in a small Oklahoma town.

Literature professor Mark Eaton will be at Full Circle Bookstore at 3 p.m. Dec. 16 to sign the book “Historical Fiction Now” that he co-edited. Eaton will discuss the state of historical fiction as a genre and its possibilit­ies. His book gathers the voices of novelists, critics, and academics, including the late Hilary Mantel, who contribute­s an original essay on the crafting of her “Wolf Hall” trilogy.

Best of Books to host holiday trivia night

Edmond bookstore Best of Books, 1313 E Danforth Rd, is hosting Holiday Book Trivia: Family Edition at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Bring the family out for trivia fun over Christmas classics like “The Polar Express,” “A Christmas Carol,” “The Grinch” and more. This event is free to attend and open to all. Silly sweaters and family jammies are welcome.

Pear Street Books and Plants to host three authors for signings

Pear Street Books and Plants, 918 N Hudson Ave., will have a book signing and a welcoming event from 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 16 for authors Jackie Kraft, author of “Under a Sunflower Moon: Cherokee Stories and Poems”; Amy M. Le, author of “The Snow Trilogy”; and Donna Rynda, author of “Don’t Should on Yourself (or Others) Anymore! And Other Life Lessons for Everyday Leaders.”
