MORRISVILLE >> Raymond E. “Bud” Brown, 69, of Roher Road passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013 at his home. He was born in Oneida on Dec. 12, 1943 a son of Raymond H. and Katherine Purcell Brown and received his education in Morrisville schools. On Sept. 7, 1996 in Munnsville he was united in marriage to Grace M. Brown. Bud worked the family dairy farm, Hedgewall Farms, in Peterboro, until his retirement. He was at one time the Town of Eaton dog warden.
Bud loved and was a longtime follower of the Matt Chase and The Thunder Canyon Band. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Dallas Cowboys. Bud’s greatest love was his family.
Surviving are his wife Grace; his children, Raymond J. Brown of Saratoga Springs, Paula and Gary Brown-Weinstock of Gloversville, Julie and Bill Billings of Chittenango, and Chris Brown of Canastota; his three sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris and Francis Relyea and Ellen Button of Canastota, and Margaret Sterle of DeRuyter; grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca, Paul, Jillian and Joseph. Also surviving are his step-children, James Grow of Canastota, Patricia Tyler of Oneida, William and Kathy Grow of Peterboro and Cheryl Grow of Morrisville; stepgrandchildren, Eric, Brian and Jamie; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant son Richard Paul.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville. Interment will follow in the Peterboro Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on today, Aug.25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
