Summer concerts this week

Following are the free band concerts this week in various communitie­s.

In Chapman Park in Bridgeport, the summer concerts come to a close on Monday, Aug. 1 with The Coachmen from 6:30-8:30. Refreshmen­ts are available by the Rotary Club. The concerts were sponsored by Blanding Hardware, Community Bank, Your Hometown Solutions Center, Warner’s Sales and Service and Fisher Bay To Go as well as the Bridgeport Civic Organizati­on.

In the Reilly-Mumford Memorial Park gazebo on Tuesday, Aug. 2, Southern Grace will perform modern country when they make their first appearance at the Park.

In the village of Chittenang­o at Dr. West Park, the concert on Tuesday, Aug. 2 will present Walrus. There is plenty of free parking and refreshmen­ts are provided by the Chittenang­o Rotary Club members. Remember the Farmer’s Market from4-8 p.m. The concert plays from 6-8 p.m.

On the bandstand on Main Street in Sylvan Beach, the concert on Wednesday, Aug. 3 will introduce Surprise Package. Bring chairs for music from 7-9 p.m.

In Cazenovia at the Lakeland Park on Thursday, Aug. 4, Harvest Band will play from 6:30-8 p.m. All concerts are sponsored by the Cazenovia Chamber of Commerce.

The Hamilton Arts in the Park Series continues with another season of talented musicians, rearrangin­g from jazz gems to country roots. Continuing the season’s s lineup is the Flying Song Garden on Thursday, Aug. 4 at 7 p.m.

The Pomeranian­s will be in concert in Higinbotha­m Park on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 6-8 p.m. The orchestra is a rock/garage/folk band. Rain date is Aug. 8.

The Pavilion at the Internatio­nal Boxing Hall of Fame will have The Party Nuts on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. A high-energy dance band featuring sax, trumpet, keyboard, guitar, bass, drums and vocals, the Party Nuts play everything from Glenn Miller and the Beatles to Motown and James Brown. Rain date is Tuesday, Aug. 9.
