Marion L. Lehman, 86, of Cicero

CICERO>> Marion L. Lehman, 86, formerly of Oneida, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Cicero, N.Y.

Marion was born in Bloomsburg, Pa. There, she was a cheerleade­r and graduate of Bloomsburg High School. After high school, she worked as a telephone operator atXXX the Bell Telephone company.

In 1951, Marion married the love of her life, James Lehman, and they lived most of their years in Oneida, where they were active members of the Oneida First Method- ist Church. Marion was a stay-athome wife and mother. As her children got older, she served on the board of the Hazel Carpenter Home, worked as an election inspector and was a Girl Scout Cookie Mom and Avon Lady. Some of her fondest memories were of her years of babysittin­g for the Kallet and Walton kids.

This past year, Marion moved to Cicero to be with her daughter and they enjoyed attending the Cicero United Methodist Church together. Her strong faith and kindness touched all those around her and we will be forever thankful for her life.

Marion was predecease­d by her husband, James Lehman in 1999; and son-in-law, Joseph Ilacqua in 2007.

Survivors include daughters Elizabeth Lehman of Houston, Texas, Diane Ilacqua of Cicero, and Tracey Lehman of Klamath Falls, Ore.; grandsons James Marquit of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Jacob Kulhanek of Houston, Texas; nephews John (Carol) Getty of Mifflinvil­le, Pa., William George of Atlanta, Ga., and Martin George of Bloomsburg, Pa.; nieces Cathy (Robert) Mc- Quown of Berwick, Pa. and Nancy Strauser of Stroudsbur­g, Pa.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, July 31 from 2-4 p.m. at FARONE & SON Funeral Home, 1500 Park St., Syracuse. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. at Cicero United Methodist Church. Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, Pa.
