The Oneida Daily Dispatch (Oneida, NY)
Verona Water Department water flushing
The Verona Water Department will be performing water main flushing in the Verona, Sarenski/ Tilden Hill, Route 365, Sconondoa, Snyder and Durhamville water districts from Monday, Oct. 3 through Friday, Oct. 7. This is being done to improve water quality, improve fire flows, and inspect and test the fire hydrants throughout the town.
Flushing will begin at 8 a.m. and end at approximately 3 p.m. each day. This will cause discoloration in the water.
Residents are asked to avoid using water during flushing in their area, including laundry.
Water will be safe to drink even if there is discoloration, but residents are encouraged to draw some drinking water prior to the flushing.
For more information, contact the water department at (315) 363-6799 ext. 26.
