The Oneida Daily Dispatch (Oneida, NY)
Magee deserves your vote
Assemblyman Bill Magee is a leader in Albany who has served with honesty, integrity and with the best interests of his district and upstate New York. Bill’s accomplishments in agriculture as chair of the Assembly Agriculture Committee are too numerous to list but are well recognized throughout the state. Over the past year, Bill has been honored by the Cornell University School of Agriculture as an Outstanding Alumnae and in September, Morrisville State College honored Bill for his outstanding community leadership and accomplishments.
Education is a strong priority for Bill, who has long supported higher education, working with local school districts and the colleges, including Morrisville State College, Hartwick College, Cazenovia College, Colgate University and State University at Oneonta. Bill has secured significant funding for education since his initial election in 1990.
The economy of Central New York has always been a priority for Bill, who has worked with local leaders and businesses on programs related to job development and economic development for our region. Healthcare has also been an area of strong focus in which Bill has been a leader. Prior to joining the Assembly, he chaired the Madison County Public Health Committee and was one of the founders of the Crouse Community Center Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Morrisville, serving as a charter member of its board. Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton recognized Bill’s leadership in healthcare by naming its Morrisville Family Health Center, The Bill and Jeanette Magee Health Center. Bill has secured millions of dollars for the hospitals in his district, which include Oneida Healthcare, Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta and Community Memorial in Hamilton.
Bill is always available to the people in his district. He has a very unique and special way of getting things done in a quiet and efficient manner. Bill does not seek recognition, which is one of the reasons for my letter. Bill is highly respected in Albany by his fellow legislators in both houses and parties.
We all have received benefits from Bill’s outstanding efforts and accomplishments. Assemblyman Bill Magee has earned our support for another term in the New York State Assembly. David W. Felton, Hamilton
