Tuesday Movies

Canastota Public Library will show a movie every Tuesday during November at 5 p.m. in the Lawson Community Room. These are scheduled for an adult audience.

Nov. 1: “Murder at 1600” with Wesley Snipes and Diane Lane. In this 1997 film, a 25 year old White House staffer is found murdered in the mansion. This movie is rated R.

Nov. 8: “The American President,” 1995, stars Michael Douglas, Annette Benning and Martin Sheen. The president has a girlfriend…will he get re-elected? The movie is rated PG-13.

Nov. 15: “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” In this 1939 classic, Jimmy Stewart plays a naïve man appointed to fill a vacancy in the U.S. Senate.

Nov. 22: “Miracle on 34th Street.” A young lawyer defends an imprisoned Santa.

Nov. 29: “It’s a Wonderful Life,” 1946, starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.
