CANASTOTA>> Brian S. Dupree, 49, of Canal Road, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 23, 2017, in the comfort of his home after a two and a half year battle with a glioblasto­ma.

Born in Syracuse on Oct. 14, 1967, he was the son of Betty Jo Ellingwort­h and Robert Brown. A resident of the Syracuse area until 2007 when he moved to Canastota, Brian was a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

Brian was the owner and operator of Dupree’s Pub and Eatery in Canastota and had retired from Macy’s department store in 2013 where he had been a manager. He loved sailing and being in the outdoors and was an avid Syracuse University sports fan.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his music.

Surviving are: his significan­t other and caregiver, Rachelle Salm of Canastota; one daughter, Kaylynn J. Dupree of Red- wood; one son, Aiden J. Dupree of Oneida; one granddaugh­ter, Alyanna Dupree; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Jennifer Brown of Syracuse, Michelle and Francisco Selitte and Carri Brown, all of Conn.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert Brown of Syracuse and Brant and Shelby Brown of Central Square; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
