VVS board will meet Feb. 27
VERONA >> The Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Board of Education will meet in executive session on Monday, Feb. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in Middle School Room 7 for the purpose of discussing specific personnel, contract negotiations, and pending litigation. The regular board meeting will follow at 7 p.m. in the Middle School Media Center. Copies of agendas from board of education meetings are available to the public at vvsschools.org, at the Vernon and Sherrill public libraries and at the Verona Town Hall.
Immunization clinics slated for March
WAMPSVILLE >> Madison County Health Department has scheduled the following flu and immunization clinics for March: Friday, March 3 from 8:3011:30 a.m.; Wednesday, March 8 from 9-11 a.m.; Friday, March 10 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.; Friday, March 17 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.; Friday, March 24 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.; Friday, March 31 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Patients should bring their insurance cards; most plans are accepted. Some fees may apply. Clinics are by appointment, call (315) 366-2848 or visit www.healthymadisoncounty.org. All clinics will be held at the Madison County Health Department, 138 N. Court St., Building 5.
OPL board meeting set for Feb. 28
ONEIDA >> The Board of Trustees of Oneida Public Library will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. in the library’s Local History Room at 220 Broad St. The public is invited to attend. Benefit set for March 11
CANASTOTA >> A benefit for Oneida resident Eric Lawrence will be held Saturday, March 11 from 1-5 p.m. at the Canastota VFW, 3835 Canal Road. Lawrence has been diagnosed with invasive squamous cell carcinoma. Proceeds will be used for medical expenses. The event will feature an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner, music, basket raffles and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $10 per person, $15 per couple and $25 per family.
