Daryl S. Burlison, 45, of Verona Beach

VERONA BEACH >> Daryl S. Burlison, 45, of 2328 Oneida St., Verona Beach, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Oneida Healthcare.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1971, in Oneida, the son of Dwight Burlison and Helen Havener Shear. Daryl attended Oneida schools.

Daryl was formerly employed by Oneida Molding Plastics.

Daryl was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary’s of the Lake Church, Sylvan Beach. He was a member of the Salt City Van Club.

Daryl loved to watch sports especially the Syracuse Orange and the Washington Redskins.

Surviving besides his mother, Helen Shear, of Verona Beach, are three brothers, Peter Kitchen, Wayne Kitchen, both of Vernon Center, and Dana Shear, of Verona Beach; three sisters, Dianne Miller, of Oriskany Falls, Dawn Burgun, of North Bay, and Donna (Alan) Ely, of Oneida; and several nieces and nephews. Daryl was predeceased by his father, Dwight; and two brothers, Daniel Kitchen, and Dale Shear.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home, 342 Main St., Oneida.
