Nicholas and Morgan (Mariano) Shaffer
WELLESLEY ISLAND >> Morgan Mariano of North Syracuse and Nicholas Shaffer of North Syracuse were married Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Thousand Island Park Pavilion.
Brandon Croll, a friend of the couple, officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Tracey Mariano of Oneida. The groom is the son of David and Marie Shaffer of Cicero.
Mallory Mariano of Rochester, twin sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emilie Morris of Vernon, Christina Shaffer of Cicero, Jessica Ahearn of Boston, Mass. and Natalee Zimmerman of Pensacola, Fla.
Bradley Shaffer of Cicero was the best man. Ushers were Justin Grimm of Hart- ford, Conn., Matt Helinger of Binghamton and Jacob Mansour of Syracuse.
The bride wore a sleeveless Justin Alexander wedding gown with lace appliques and a beaded belt. A heart fromher grandmother’s wedding dress was sewn into the gown. She carried a bouquet of dahlias and roses.
Following a reception at the Thousand Islands Harbor Hotel in Clayton, the couple traveled to St. Lucia for their honeymoon.
The bride, a 2012 graduate of Utica College, is employed as an incident management analyst at National Grid. The groom, who graduated fromOnondaga Community College, is a support analyst at Mohawk Global Logistics.
The couple resides in North Syracuse.
