The Top Ten students of the Class of 2017at Camden Central High School. are Mitchell Zhang, Hunter Choquette, Jackson Pulizzi, Michael Heller, Joshua D’Angelo, Mark Tompkins, Kate Mitchell, Luke Dixon, Katlin Cook, Mackenzie Kuc.

CAMDEN >> Heathe r Wieland, principal of Camden Central High School, has announced Top Ten students in the Class of 2017.

Luke Dixon is the Valedictor­ian of the Class of 2017. He is the son of Brian and Donalyn Dixon of Blossvale. After graduation Dixon plans to attend a four-year college to study mechanical engineerin­g. He has been accepted to the following colleges: Binghamton University, Clarkson University, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Mohawk Valley Community College. Dixon’s goals are to earn a degree in mechanical engineerin­g and gain experience through work. Once he becomes a licensed profession­al engineer, he intends to own a business that is related to internal combustion engines or renewable energy technology.

Katlin Cook is the Salutatori­an of the Class of 2017. She is the daughter of Whitney and Loretta Cook of Taberg. After graduation Cook plans to attend a four-year college and she is currently undecided regarding her major. She has been accepted to: Clarkson University, Hartwick College, Keuka College, Le Moyne College, Nazareth College, and St. John Fisher College. Cook’s goals are to obtain a job that she loves after graduating with her bachelor’s degree. She would like to move south where the weather is warmer and start a family after her career is establishe­d.

3rd – Michael Heller is the son of John B. Heller of Camden. He plans to attend Mohawk Valley Community College to study computer science.

4th – Jackson Pulizzi is the son of Nicholas and Carrie Pulizzi of Camden. He plans to attend SUNY Geneseo and he is currently undecided regarding his major.

5th – Mark Tompkins is the son of Jamie and Jill Tompkins of Redfield. He plans to attend Clarkson University to study civil engineerin­g.

6th – Joshua D’Angelo is the son of Francis and Diane D’Angelo of Cleveland. He plans to attend the SUNY Potsdam to study computer science.

7th – Mitchell Zhang is the son of Jin Ping Zhang of Camden. He has been accepted to Alfred University, Clarkson University, and the University of Buffalo and he plans to study mechanical engineerin­g.

8th – Hunter Choquette is the son of Shawn Cho- quette and Janet Moonen of Blossvale. He plans to attend SUNY Environmen­tal Science and Forestry to study aquatic and fisheries science.

9th – Mackenzie Kuc is the daughter of Annemarie Kuc of Taberg. She plans to attend either Ringling College of Art & Design or Rochester Institute of Technology to study digital animation.

10th – Kate Mitchell is the daughter of Bryan and Robin Mitchell of Camden. She plans to attend either St. John Fisher College or SUNY Oswego to study accounting.
