George S. Felshaw Sr., 91, of Weeki Wachee, Fla.

WEEKIWACHE­E, FLA. >> George S. Felshaw Sr., 91, passed away at his home in Weeki Wachee, Fla., on March 11, 2017.

He was born on May 17, 1925, in Turin, N.Y., the son of Seth and Ella Gibbs Felshaw. He was the former owner of Oneida Fuels in Oneida, N.Y. and Moss Haven Mobile Home Park in Tampa, Fla.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was a Mason for 65 years with the Sconondoa Sherrill Lodge No. 0814. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 0001, Albany, N.Y., a life member of the VFW and was a member of the Rotica Council No. 12 Cryptic Masons Knights Templar of Vernon, N.Y.

He was predecease­d by his brother Daniel Felshaw and his sister Catherine Felshaw Wymar. Mr. Felshaw is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judith Amlott Felshaw; and children George Felshaw Jr., of Canyonvill­e, Ore., Lisa VanBuskirk of Canastota, N.Y., Pauline James of Birmingham, Ala., and stepson Judson France. He is also survived by grandchild­ren John (Florence) Felshaw of San Bernadino, Calif., Brian Felshaw of Post Falls, Idaho, Stephen Felshaw of Colorado, Justin VanBuskirk of North Syracuse, N.Y., Steven VanBuskirk of North Syracuse, N.Y., Tiffany Scordo of Canastota, N.Y., Jamie Scordo of Canastota, N.Y., Abby (David) Gulden of Winter Park, Fla., and Jes- sie James of Australia; 11 great-grandchild­ren; and several beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave., Oneida, with the Rev. Nicholas Smith, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Oneida, officiatin­g. Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton, N.Y., in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n of CNY, 441 West Kirkpatric­k St., Syracuse, N.Y., 13204.
