ONEIDACAST­LE>> Frank E. “Six Speed” Ferguson, 74, peacefully passed on Thursday, March 23, 2017, surrounded with the love and support of his wife, and family.

Frank was born on March 9, 1943, in Rome, the son of the late Carl J. and Gladys M. Clark Ferguson. He was raised in Madison and graduated from Madison High School. Frank had spent 43 years as an over the road tractor-trailer drive for various companies. He retired from Charles Staudt, Sr. Trucking of Oneida. He married the love of his life, Eva M. RobbinsRoh­er, on April 17, 1993. Frank had enjoyed collecting toy trucks, road trips with Eva, western movies, and NASCAR. He also was a “member” of the coffee club at Dunkin Doughnuts, where he spent time with Eva, and other cherished friends. His greatest love was for his wife of 24 years, his children, and most of all his grandchild­ren.

Frank is survived by his beloved, Eva; his children, Richard A. Miller, and his wife, Konnie, of Gainesboro, Tenn., Michael A. Roher, and his wife, Ellen, of Fort Wayne, Ind., Tracy L. Fountain, and her husband, Garry, of Sauquoit, and Stacie A. Smith, and her husband, David, of Hubbardsvi­lle; his sisters, Mary I Fanning, of Waterville, and Joyce Cornelius, and her husband, Paul, of Deansboro, his brother, John Ferguson, and his wife Carol, of Madison. Frank is also survived by his beloved 8 grandchild­ren, a beloved great granddaugh­ter, and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was predecease­d by his parents, his brother, Charles D. “Chuck” Ferguson, and his nephew, Jim Ferguson.

In keeping with Frank’s wishes, a graveside service will be held in the spring in Madison Village Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to the care of the Paul Funeral Home of Madison.

Being a devoted grandfathe­r, it is requested that donations may be made in memory of Frank, for a fund establishe­d to assist with his grandchild­ren’s education. Donations may be mailed to Eva M.
