Breakfast with Bunny
The Easter Bunny is making a special trip to the zoo for a morning of delicious food and activities from 9-11 a.m. April 2, 8, 9 and 15 at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse.
Don’t forget to snap your photo with the special guest. Reservations are required. Zoo admission is included in the ticket price. The cost is $14 for members, $18 for non-members and free for children 2 and younger.

Parenting workshop
CazCares and the Story Room — a Cazenovia Public Library outpost operating out of CazCares — will co-sponsor the third installment of “Parenting: the Toughest Job You’ll Ever Love” on Monday, April 3 at 10 a.m. The session, presented by Dr. Sheila Clonan and Kelli Johnson, will focus on strategies for parenting children with different temperaments.
Clonan is a licensed psychologist in private practice who works with children (preschool through college) to support their education and personal development. She also partners with parents and teachers to facilitate the success of children of all abilities. Johnson is a NYS certified teacher with experience teaching students with reading disabilities and coaching teachers to meet the needs of struggling readers.

Musical genealogist program
The Cazenovia Public Library is pleased to welcome genealogist Laine Gilmore to the Community Room on Tuesday, April 4 at 7 p.m. Join her as she explores the stories of ordinary and extraordinary local people of the past and intertwines them with music — performed on the piano — relating to their stories.
Gilmore is a professional genealogical researcher and writer. She is the owner of Laine Gilmore Genealogical Research Services.
She specializes in both archival and internet family history research, lineage society applications, project management and educational workshops and methodology applications for written family histories. Gilmore is also co-historian for the Town of Nelson.
Hustle workshop
A Hustle dance workshop series will be held Tuesday, April 4 from 7-8 p.m. with practice 8-9 p.m. in the Cazenovia Village Municipal Building, second floor Community Room.
The workshop is held for four weeks. A partner is not required; everyone is welcome. The class is free, but instructor tips are welcome. For information, contact cazenoviadanceworkshop@gmail.com.
Beginners workshop
Cazenovia Public Library will host a two-part Learn to Code Workshop for young computer enthusiasts on Fridays, April 7 and 14 at 3:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
Coding and application development are some of today’s most sought-after skills. This workshop enables children to learn computer programming in a fun and easy way. Participants will learn basic computer science and coding skills and use their new knowledge to design and create their own webpages. This program is open to children ages 9-12.
All materials will be provided. Class size is limited to ensure program quality. Call or stop by the library to reserve a spot.

Family Bingo night is back on Friday, April 7 at 6:30 p.m. All kids are guaranteed a prize and adults play for fun. Refreshments will be provided.
Book Talk will discuss “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. Copies are available now.
Join Village and Town Historian, Sue Greenhagen, for an all new Magical History Tour on Friday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Teen/Adult Movie Night will feature “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m.
Family Train Day
Trains, trains and more trains will be running on large indoor layout as well as loops on the floor at The Commons in Drivers Village, Cicero on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Also featured will be a kiddies play area. This fun event is sponsored by the Central New York Large Scale Railway Society.
Monster Truck Jam 2017

Rabies vaccination clinic
Madison County Health Department has scheduled its rabies vaccination clinics for the remainder of the year. The clinics are free of charge to Madison County residents. All pets must be at least 3 months of age. Pets who received their first shot must get a booster within one year. All pets must be restrained on a leash or in a pet carrier. Proof of previous vaccination is required to qualify for a three-year certificate. Accepted forms of proof are: certificate of vaccination from a veterinarian or the Madison County Department of Health, or a dog license showing the vaccination expiration date.
Public Health Law requires all dogs, cats and ferrets to be vaccinated by 4 months of age. A second vaccination must be given within one year of the first, and pets must be actively immunized against rabies thereafter. Owners of any dog, cat or ferret not vaccinated are in violation of Public Health Law, subject to a fine of up to $200 for each offense.
A $5 donation per pet is requested to help defray clinic costs. The next clinic is scheduled for Saturday, April 8 at the Chittenango Fire Department, 417 Genesee St. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
A second April clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25 at the Earlville Fire Department, North Main Street from 5-7 p.m. For information, call 315366-2526.
Sherrill-Kenwood Library
The next movie matinee at the Sherrill-Kenwood Free Library will be “Hidden Figures” on Wednesday, April 13 at 1:30 p.m.
Storytime for Toddlers will be held April 4, 11 and 25 with stories, music and crafts.
The library will be closed on Good Friday, April 14.
