Oliver B. Fields Jr., 74, of Oneida

ONEIDA >> Oliver B. Fields Jr. age 74, of N. Willow Street passed away early Friday morning April 7, 2017 in The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Rome, where he had most recently resided.

He was born on March 31, 1943 in Mobjack, Va. the son of the late Oliver Sr. and Cordelia Fields.

Oliver held many jobs over the years that he enjoyed but his true passions were his family and friends.

Oliver was a loyal Dallas Cowboy, NY Yankees, and S.U. Sports fan. He loved a good cup of coffee, a big bowl of chili, bowling, and attending social and sporting events with friends and family.

Surviving are his brother and sister in- law, Ellis and Lola Fields, brother and sister inlaw, Robert and Patricia Fields, and his sister, Harriet Watson, all of Virginia as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Oliver was loved by, all for his outgoing personality, and contagious laugh.

Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday April 12, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Road, Sherrill, N.Y.. Oliver’s Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. immediately following calling hours at the funeral home.
