WAMPSVILLE, N.Y. >> Madison County Court handed out the following sentences between March 13 and March 30. Thursday, March 30: John W. Baldwin, 55, of Canastota, was sentenced by Judge Patrick J. O’Sullivan to six months incarcerat­ion to be served in the Madison County Jail, five years of probation, and $20,111 in restitutio­n after pleading guilty on January 4to fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, for incidents that occurred between February 27, 2012 and December 21, 2014in the Town of Sullivan. Thursday, March 30: James R. Anderson, 33, of Cazenovia, was sentenced by Judge Patrick O’Sullivan to 3years of incarcerat­ion to be served in state prison, $2,379.99in restitutio­n and fees, and orders of protection after pleading guilty on February 16to seconddegr­ee attempted criminal mischief, a class E felony, for an incident that occurred on June 21, 2016in the Town of Cazenovia. Thursday, March 30: Nicholas S. Fiorini, 24, of New Woodstock, was sentenced by Judge Patrick O’Sullivan to 6months of time served and $50in fees after pleading guilty on March 30to fourth-degree grand larceny, a class E felony, for incidents that occurred between October 7, 2015and October 21, 2015 in the Town of Cazenovia. Thursday, March 30: Kevin L. Howe, 54, of Syracuse, was sentenced by Judge Patrick O’Sullivan to 1year and 8months to 5years of incarcerat­ion in state prison, $429,582in restitutio­n and fees after pleading guilty on February 27to seconddegr­ee grand larceny, a class C felony, for incidents that occurred between June 6, 2013and July 7, 2016 in the Town of Lenox. First reported in the Dispatch on July 19, 2016, police said Lowe, in his position as comptrolle­r, stole more than $740,000from his employer, White’s Farm Supply, by writing checks out to himself and depositing them into a personal account. Thursday, March 23: Marshal R. Rathbun, 36, of Canastota, was sentenced by Judge Dennis McDermott to 6months incarcerat­ion to be served in the Madison County Jail, 3years of pro- bation, $3,195in fines and fees, and ignition interlock installati­on after pleading guilty on March 24to driving while intoxicate­d for an incident that occurred on July 4, 2015in the Village of Hamilton. Wednesday, March 22: Charles W. Pentland, 46, of Canastota, was sentenced by Patrick O’Sullivan to 9years of incarcerat­ion to be served in state prison, 11 years of post-release supervisio­n, $1,050in fines and fees, an order of protection, and sex offender registrati­on after pleading guilty on December 22, 2016to first-degree criminal sex act for incidents that occurred between September 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015in the Village of Canastota. First reported in the Dispatch on Sept. 6, 2016, Pentland subjected a child less than 11years of age to sexual contact. At Pentland’s sentencing, Madison County District Attorney Bill Gabor expressed concern that Pentland never accepted full responsibi­lity for his conduct. Pentland blamed the five-year-old victim for his actions, Gabor said. Monday, March 13: Tiffany L. Morey, 26, of Canastota, was sentenced by Judge Patrick O’Sullivan to 5years of probation and $50.00 in fees after pleading guilty on January 4to nonresiden­t sex offender failure to register, a class D felony, for incidents that occurred between March 21, 2016and April 26, 2016in the Town of Madison.

Relyea, 30, of Canastota, was sentenced by Judge Patrick O’Sullivan to 1year of incarcerat­ion to be served in Madison County Jail and $50in fees after pleading guilty on January 4to thirddegre­e grand larceny, a class D felony, for an incident that occurred on June 22, 2016 in the Town of Lincoln. Monday, March 13: Michael J. Brocious, 26, of Georgetown, was sentenced by Judge Patrick O’Sullivan to 2years of incarcerat­ion to be served in state prison, 1 year post release supervisio­n, $50.00in fees, and 6months of a suspended license after pleading guilty on February 9to thirddegre­e unlawful manufactur­e of methamphet­amine, a class D felony, for an incident that occurred on June 22, 2016in the Town of Sullivan.
