EARLVILLE, N.Y. >> The Earlville Opera House will host a double-billing in the Arts Café on Thursday, April 20 at 8 p.m., featuring Heather Maloney and the Sea the Sea.
Heather Maloney is a Massachusetts- based singer- songwriter. Her latest record, “Making Me Break,” was produced by Bill Reynolds and features an all-star backing band including members of Band of Horses, the Wallflowers, and My Morning Jacket. Upon the release of “MakingMe Break,” Maloney landed on Spin Magazine’s “Artist to Watch” list, with enthusiastic reviews from the Huffington Post, Consequence of Sound, and No Depression.
The Sea the Sea is an Upstate New York based indie folk-pop duo-band featuring what Huffington Post calls, “two of the loveliest male-female voices you might ever hear this or any other year.” Their 2014 debut release, “Love WeAreWe Love,” received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression, among others, gathering nearly 10 million streams on Spotify. The animated video for their song “Waiting” sparked viral interest including Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and inclusion at the international TED 2015 conference.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $15 for EOH members, and $10 for students/youths under 18.
