Marjorie L. Oleynick, 90, of Boonville
BOONVILLE>> Marjorie L. Oleynick, 90, West Leyden Road, formerly of Fox Road, Verona, died Friday, April 21, 2017, in the Sunset Nursing Center, Boonville, where she had been a patient for the past four days.
Born in McConnellsville on Feb. 13, 1927, she was the daughter of Ernest and Carrie Morse McBain. A resident of Verona for the past 64 years, moving to Boonville in 2013, Marjorie was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1944. She married Joseph Oleynick in Durhamville on Dec. 2, 1949. Mr. Oleynick died on March 3, 2006.
Mrs. Oleynick, prior to her retirement, was employed with Oneida Ltd. Silversmiths. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church, Durhamville, a member of the former Oneida Limited Retirement Club, and enjoyed gardening, reading and cooking.
Surviving are her three daughters and two sons-in-laws, Jo Anne and Thomas Alger of Boonville, Gail and Richard Eastman of Verona and Donna Oleynick of San Diego, California; her three sons and two daughtersin-law, Gary and Barbara Oleynick of Encinitas, California, Bruce Oleynick and John and Sheri Oleynick, all of San Diego, California; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Rice, Jeff Alger, Arthur Alger, Andrea Narrow, Lance (Erika) Eastman, Ryan (Katie) Eastman, Eric Oleynick and Brooke Oleynick; her sister, Marilyn Hilsberg of Austin, Texas; her brother, Harold “Ike” McBain of Little River, North Carolina; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Julia Emper and Mae McBain and two brothers, Horace McBain and Charles McBain.
Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Monday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St. Oneida and 9:45 a.m. from St. Francis Church, Durhamville, where the funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Kehoe, pastor. Interment will be made in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Sunset Activities Fund, 232 Academy St., Boonville, N.Y. 13309.
