Caitlyn Jenner pulls reliable attention-getting trick, mulls run for office

Considering a run for political office is a sure bet from the playbook of attention-seeking celebs, so maybe Caitlyn Jenner took a peek at sonin-law Kanye West’s copy when she flirted recently with the idea of going into politics.

Rapper West has talked about running for president in 2020 — and Jenner, on Tuesday night, sought to make it a family affair. At an event promoting her new book, the reality TV star at first blew off a suggestion from an audience member that she jump into the proverbial swamp.

Later, though, she reconsidered: “Or would I be better working from the inside?” she said, per CNN. “If that is the case ... I would seriously look at a run. It just depends where I could be more effective.”

Jenner is a Republican who supported President Donald Trump, but she warned that her loyalties couldn’t be counted on. “My loyalties are not with Donald Trump. I will come after him and come after Republicans if they come after my community,” said Jenner, who is transgender. “I’ve got a voice and they better listen, OK? I will come after them.”
