Canastota’s Chabot nohits Adirondack in upset

The Raiders scored three firstrun innings to post an upset victory over the Wildcats on Friday afternoon.

CANASTOTA 3, ADIRONDACK 1 >> Rhilea Chabot tossed a no-hitter in the circle for the Raiders softball teamin Friday’s upset victory and also tallied two hits and an RBI in the winning effort. BALDWINSVI­LLE 8, ONEIDA7 >> The Bees scored twice in the bottom of the seventh for a walk-off victory. Oneida’s Kyra Shlotzhaue­r went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in defeat. HAMILTON 12, NEWYORKMIL­LS 6 >> Karley Belanger went 3-for-4 for the Emerald Knights, doubling twice and driving in three runs.

ONEIDA 5, CAMDEN 2 >> Ryan Chevier tossed a complete game for Oneida to earn the win, helped by back-to-back RBI hits from Tucker Rodgers and Dan Myatt in the top of the seventh to provide two key insurance runs. HAMILTON 6, NEWYORK MILLS 4 >> After falling behind 3- 0 in the bottom of the first, the Emerald Knights rallied with two in the second and one in the fourth to tie the score before scoring three in the sixth to take the lead. Mike Kelly, Trevor Dow and Jacob Hill each drove in two runs for Hamilton in the winning effort. CAZENOVIA 5, HANNIBAL 1 >> Evan Begley tossed a complete game two-hitter for the Lakers to earn the win on the mound while helping his own cause with a tworun double in the bottom of the fourth.
