ONEIDA >> The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce has named Madison Bistro as its Member of the Month for May.

The mission of Madison Bistro, which opened its doors in 2011, is to be a Farm to Table Restaurant. Owner Lisa Campanie, an Oneida local, met Victor Ramirez, co- owner, while living in San Antonio, Texas. Fast-forward 18 years and they now own a thriving local restaurant in the heart of Central New York.

Madison Bistro located is located at 135 N. Court St. in Wampsville, across from the County Court House and Madison County Sheriff ’s headquarters. The bistro sources its products from local farms and green houses and uses environmentally- friendly, compostable take-out containers. During peak catering season, Madison Bistro employs up to 30 part-time employees.

Madison Bistro has been voted CNY Best Burger and Best BBQ Smoked Brisket. The restaurant is open Monday through Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and Thursday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. for lunch and dinner.

Member of the Month program is part of an ongoing effort by the Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce to honor a deserving member business each month for its contribution to the quality of life and economy of the community.
