Judy Holt Dunbar, 69, of Canastota

CANASTOTA>> Judy Holt Dunbar, 69, of 118 Deppoliti Ave., passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Crouse Hospital where she had been a patient for the past three days.

She was born on Dec. 23, 1947, in New Berlin, the daughter of Harold and Bernice Excell Holt. Judy attended Earlville schools.

On Oct. 24, 1964, Judy was united in marriage to Warren J. Dunbar in Verona Methodist Church.

Judy was employed as a clerk for Oneida Limited Silversmiths for twentyone years, retiring in 1987.

She has been a resident of Canastota since 1977 after moving from Sherrill.

Judy was of the Baptist Faith.

Judy was a die-hard New York Yankees fan and Syracuse Orange basketball fan. She enjoyed going on cruises and their camp at Bradley Brook. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family at home.

Surviving besides her loving husband of fiftytwo years, Warren; are a daughter, Lana (Matthew) Chmielewski, of Chittenango; one grand- son, Tyler Chmielewski; two brothers, Brian (Jackie) Holt, of Earlville, John Holt, of Philippines; four sisters, JoAnn (Albert) Gray, of Houston, Texas, Janice Holt, Jinene Clark, both of Earlville, and Brenda (Jim) Stone, of Sherburne; and several nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.

Judy’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. David Landsberg and the staff of Crouse Hospital, especially in the ICU, for the kindness, compassion, and exceptional care Judy received.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. at the Ironside Funeral Home, Inc., 342 Main St., Oneida. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Verona Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to Wanderer’s Rest Humane Society, PO Box 535, Canastota, N.Y., 13032.
