ONEIDA, N.Y. » For 25 years, the Maxwell House has opened its doors to those struggling with addiction.

To celebrate that quarter century of service, Liberty Resources Maxwell House will host a Recovery Walk on Sunday, June 4 in the organization’s ongoing ef- fort to combat the stigma associated with addiction and facilitate healing. The Recovery Walk also honors the many roads to recovery from addiction and all those who have traveled them.

The walk is scheduled from 2-4 p.m., beginning and ending at Maxwell House, 239 Broad St., Oneida. Additionally, there will be a recovery stone and tree dedication as well as an open house following the walk. Refreshments will also be served.

The Recovery Walk is completely free and open to the public. Organizers will walk to increase awareness and understanding of substance use disorders and celebrate recovery. The walk aims to dispel negative stigma and recognize recovery as a positive force touching many in Madison County.
