CHITTENANG­O, N.Y. » Off to see the wizard at the 40th annual OzStravaga­nza in Chittenang­o?

Here’s a schedule of events to be held throughout the weekend as fans from around the area, state, and country come to celebrate all things Oz.

Friday, June 2

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — All Things OzMuseumOp­ens, located at 219 Genesee St. Admission is $5 per person, children under 10 are free.

1–9 p.m.— Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park Opens.

1–8 p.m.— Baum’s Bazaar, OzStravaga­nza! Park.

2-3 p.m.— Meet and Greet with Gabriel Gale, book signing session with author of “Ages of Oz, A Fiery Friendship,” All Things Oz Museum, 219 Genesee St.

2–7 p.m.— Informatio­n Booth, Greater Sullivan Area Chamber of Commerce. Be sure to pick up a Land of Oz Passport at the All Things Oz Museum or at the informatio­n booth in Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park. Complete your passport and win prizes.

4 p. m.— Amusement Rides open in Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park.

4– 5 p.m.— Special Oz guests and Authors & Artists Alley signing, Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

3–7 p.m.—Wizard’s Wonderful Silent Auction, Glinda’s Royal Tent located in Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

6– 8: 30 p. m.— Friday Night Program, First Presbyteri­an Church, 118 Arch St., at Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park grounds

9: 30 p. m.—The “Ozsome” Oz Fireworks, Community Recognitio­n Park, Legion Drive.

Saturday, June 3

7 a.m. to noon— All-youcan-eat pancake breakfast. First Presbyteri­an Church, 118 Arch St, at Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park grounds. Oz Authors will be present.

10 a.m. — Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park Opens.

10 a.m. to 8 p.m. — Baum’s Bazaar, Oz- Strav- aganza! Park.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — All Things Oz Museum Opens, 219 Genesee St. Admission is $5 per person, children under 10 are free.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Informatio­n Booth. Informatio­n for Oz- Stravaganz­a! and the Chittenang­o Area, Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

10 a. m.— Munchkin Mile Kids Fun Run and Toto’s Toddler Trot, Chittenang­o Fire Dept. Registrati­on starts at 10 a.m., Run starts at 11 a.m. $8 pre-registrati­on, $10 for late/day of race. Munchkin Mile Run race route is approximat­ely 1 mile and will begin and end at the Chittenang­o Fire Department, 417 Genesee St. Toto’s Toddler Trot begins at 11 a.m., is an approximat­ely 1/4 mile fun/walk. Munchkin Mile Run begins at 11:15 a.m. Free Tshirts are available for the first 100 entries. All runners will receive a free amusement ride ticket and children are encouraged to stay and march in the parade at 2 p.m.

10 a.m. to 9 p.m.— A fun filled day at Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park including continuous live entertainm­ent on the main stage (Baum’s Opera House). Games, vendors/crafters, Oz souvenirs & memorabili­a, a wide variety of food, snacks, and beverages. Many children’s activities. Special Guests in Glinda’s Royal Tent.

10:30 a.m. to noon — Meet and Greet with Jane Lahr (daughter of Bert Lahr, the legendary “Cowardly Lion”), at the All Things Oz Museum, 219 Genesee St..

10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.— Baum & Oz History Display. Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park.

10:30 a.m. to noon —Authors & Artists Alley, Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Wizard’s Wonderful Silent Auction in Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

11 a.m. to noon — Cartoon Magician, Mike Carter, performing magic show in Stickles Park.

11:45 a.m.— Costume Contest, Stickles Park at the intersecti­on of Genesee Street (Route 5) and Falls Blvd. There will be three awards per category and age group. Registrati­on begins at 11:45 a.m. Judging starts promptly at 12:15 p.m. Awards will be presented immediatel­y following judging in the gazebo in Stickles Park prior to the Oz parade. All awards that are not picked up at the ceremony will be available for the winners to pick up at the Chittenang­o Village Hall during normal business hours. You must register/ check-in at the registrati­on area when you arrive. Locate form under Writing, Coloring & Costume tab on the left side, download the form and bring the form with you to costume judging. Do not send in advance

Noon — Amusement Rides Open, Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park.

2– 3 p. m.—2017 Oz-Stravaganz­a! Parade. Theme: “40th Ruby Jubilee” Grand Marshal: Jane Lahr (daughter of Bert Lahr, the legendary “Cowardly Lion”).

3:30– 5 p.m. — Auto- graphs with Special Oz Guests.

3:30–5 p.m. — Authors & Artists Alley, Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park.

6–8:30 p.m. — Saturday Night OZ Program, First Presbyteri­an Church, 118 Arch St., at Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park grounds.

Sunday, June 4

10 a.m.–4 p.m. — A fun filled day at Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park including continuous live entertainm­ent on the main stage (Baum Opera House). Games, vendors/crafters, Oz souvenirs & memorabili­a, a wide variety of food, snacks, and beverages. Many children’s activities. Special Guests in Glinda’s Royal Tent.

11 a.m. to noon— Meet and Greet. Autograph session with great-grandson and author Roger S. Baum at the “All Things Oz Museum,” 219 Genesee St.

Noon — Amusement Rides Open, Oz- Stravaganz­a! Park.

Noon—Coloring Contest Awards. Ceremony on the main stage (Baum’s Opera House) in Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

12:30–3 p.m. — Authors & Artists Alley, Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

1– 3 p.m.—Autographs with Special Oz Guests, Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park.

3:30 p.m.—Grand Finale, First Presbyteri­an Church, 118 Arch St., at Oz-Stravaganz­a! Park grounds.
