Norma J. Woodcock Crandall, 78, of Fish Creek Landing, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, in the house she was born in surrounded by her four loving daughters.

Norma was born on Aug. 2, 1938, in Fish Creek Landing, a daughter of George E. and Emma P. Ripka Woodcock. A lifelong resident of the Landing, she was a graduate of Camden Central Schools, Class of 1956, where she was a cheerleade­r and member of the Moonhowler­s.

On Feb. 20, 1959, Norma was united in marriage to Arloe Crandall in the Camden United Methodist Church. A blessed union of 57 years until his passing on May 15, 2016.

Norma worked at Griffiss Air Force Base, babysat for scads of children, and also worked at the Canal View Café. She loved spending time with her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. She also enjoyed watching Syracuse Basketball games with her beloved Arloe.

Surviving are her four daughters, Cheryl (Kevin) Whalen, of Oneida, Nanette (Everett) Tobiasson, of West Turin, Rebecca (Stanley) Grose, of Ilion and Amy (Andrew) Lippert, of Carlisle, Pa.; 10 grandchild­ren, Ryan (Stephanie) Wickham and Ryan’s father Steven Wickham, Patrick (Kate) Tobiasson, Richard and Emma Tobiasson, Victoria and Jacquelyn Hendrix, Anna, Grace, Nathaniel and Catherine Lippert; 10 great-grandchild­ren, Gabrielle, Peyton, Natalia, Jasper, Sawyer, Christen, Caleb, Mattie, Myiah and Fiona; a brother, James P. (Rose) Roney, of North Bay; a sister-in-law, Dorothy (Neil) Wood, of Bernard’s Bay; two “adopted” daughters, Debbie Seeber, and Kathy Smyth; and several nieces and nephews. Norma was predecease­d by a grandson, Christophe­r Wickham; a sister, Doris (Joseph) Pounds; and a brother, Leon Allen Woodcock.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the LaRobardie­re Funeral Home, Inc., 109 Main St., Camden. Interment will take place in McConnells­ville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
