Vernon United Methodist Church, Route 5, will hold a rummage sale and bake sale on Friday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Year end Mass slated for June 3

Catholic Daughters Court 1250 will celebrate its year end at Mass to be celebrated by the Rev. Richard Kapral, chaplain on Saturday, June 3 in St. Joseph’s Church to be followed at 9:15 by a Communion Breakfast at Ebeneezer’s Cafe in Sherrill. Garage sale to benefit Karing Kitchen

Grace Lutheran Church will hold a garage sale on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 3965 Carter Road. Proceeds will benefit the Karing Kitchen of Oneida. Food, Fun and Friendship Dinner planned

Catholic Daughters Court Our Lady 1250 will hold a Fun, Food and Friendship Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, June 7 in the parish center of Holy Family Church. The event will begin with a social time at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:45 p.m.

All members of the court are encouraged to attend this informal and casual get together. Women from area parishes are also invited to come.

Sue Tyler and Kitty McMahon are organizing the spaghetti dinner menu, with food items to be donated by the membership. Members who did not sign up should call Tyler at (315) 363-1451 before June 5 to tell what they will bring. Nonmembers should call for sign up only.

Everyone planning to attend is asked to bring her own table service. Members who signed up for setup and service should arrive at 4:30 p.m.

Garden tours offered June 10

Six city gardens will be open for public tours during an inaugural fund raising event to benefit the Karing Kitchen on June 10 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Following the tours, guests are invited to a tea party reception from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 116 Grove St. Tours will include tips on how to care for some of the plants that are contained within the gardens. Plants and herbs will also be available for purchase at some locations. Garden locations include the Stury Gardens on Belmont Street, the Simchik and Niles Gardens ( both on Drake Avenue), the Carmolla and Kinsella Gardens ( both on Florence Avenue), and the Community Garden at St. Paul’s United Meth- odist Church on Sayles Street. Tickets are $20 and can purchased at most Oneida area churches during regular office hours, or at Oneida Floral and Gifts, Oneida Office Supply, Choo- Choo Charlies or W. J. Hinman Jewelers. Strawberry Festival set for June 17

Christ Church United Methodist will holds its Annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 17 from 4-7 p.m. at the church, 417 Park St. Strawberry shortcake will be served along with pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, potato salad and beverages. Take outs will be available. The church is elevator accessible at the Park Street entrance.

Tuesday Movie Night is June 13

The monthly Tuesday Movie Night sponsored by Holy Family Secular Franciscan­s will feature “The Shack” on June 13 from 6-8 p.m. The film will be shown at the Church of the Holy Family, Peterboro Street. Popcorn and beverages will be served. The next Movie Night will be July 11.

38th annual Craft Festival

The 38th Annual Friendship Craft Festival sponsored by the Church Of Christ Uniting in will take place on Saturday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Spring Park on Route 20. The event. will feature more than 50 area crafters and a bake sale, along with a chicken barbecue served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Food will also be available from the Richfield Springs Rotary Club and the Richfield Youth Sports organizati­on. Senior ministry offered Wednesdays

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will hold a Christian Ministry for Seniors each Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 4897 Old Oneida Road. There will be coffee and conversati­on, Bible study, and at 10:30 a.m. a special program will be held. There will also be exercise and lunch at noon.

Friendship Inn open each Thursday

Friendship Inn at St. Joan of Arc Church offers a free weekly meal to the Morrisvill­e community every Thursday from 5- 6:30 p.m. Non- denominati­onal and open to all, regardless of financial need, Friendship Inn draws on a small army of volunteers who fulfill numerous tasks, from setup, cooking, serving, to clean-up. Volunteers are always needed. Donations are welcome as well to supplement food offerings and to purchase equipment and supplies.
