WAMPSVILLE » Pamela L. Stratton, 68, of South Court Street, passed away at home on Saturday, June 17, 2017, after an extended illness.

Born in Oneida on July 26, 1948, she was a daughter of George D. and Fanny L. Parmeter Stratton. Pam was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1967.

Pam had previously been employed by K. L. Shane Inc. in North Carolina as a controller and did accounting work for her son’s company, Heffron’s General Contractin­g Inc. She was an avid gardener who spent much of her spare time surrounded by her family and her flowers.

Surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dawn Heffron of Oneida; five grandchild­ren, Brandon Heffron, Douglas Christense­n, Breonna Popluhar, Shawnna Popluhar and Christophe­r Popluhar; three great-grandchild­ren, Douglas Christense­n, Lilly Woods, Adrienne Konowich; two sisters, Connie O’Rourke of Florida, Paula Thurston and John Sorbello of Oneida; five brothers, Gary Stratton and Nancy Crane and George and Paula Stratton, all of Oneida, David Stratton and Melanie Crawford and Guy and Beth Stratton, all of Texas, Doug and Cindy Richmond of Wampsville; a dear friend, Harry Heffron of Oneida and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by one sister, Suzie Peterson, two brothers, Bill and Rob Stratton and her former spouse, Joe Alger.
