Mildred A. ‘Millie’ Salter, 74, of Bernhards Bay

BERNHARDSBAY » Mildred A. “Millie” Salter, 74, of Shacksbush Road, passed away Saturday evening, July 1, 2017, at her son’s home, surrounded by family.

Born in Oneida on March 26, 1943, she was the daughter of Robert H. and Helena M. Boylan Arnold. A lifelong resident of the area, Millie was a graduate of Oneida High School.

Prior to her retirement, Millie was employed with various local companies as a dispatcher, most recently being employed with Patriot Tank Lines. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, a rousing game of Scrabble and special moments with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Rick Kidston of Sherrill; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Schenk Jr. of Oneida and Shawn and Ginger Lambertson of Canastota; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Donald Peters of Oneida; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Larry and Elaine Arnold of Clifton Park, George and Tricia Arnold of Chesapeake, Va., Robert Arnold Jr. of Oneida and James and Peggy Arnold of Richmond, Va.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Millie was predeceased by a son, Scott Lambertson on Sept. 22, 2005 and two brothers, Edward and Jack Arnold.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida, with the Rev. Richard Kapral officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in West Verona Cemetery.
