M. Lois Sansone, 88, of Oneida

ONEIDA » M. Lois Sansone, 88, of Maple Drive, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in the Extended Care Facility of the Oneida Healthcare Center, where she had been a patient for the past two months.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Aug. 20, 1928, she was the daughter of John and Mary Morris Stephen. A resident of Oneida for the past 60 years, Lois was educated and graduated from Philadelphia schools. She married Thomas A. Sansone in Starucca, Pa. on Jan. 28, 1956. Mr. Sansone died on Jan. 24, 1996.

Lois was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Sansone of Manassas, Va. and Katherine Sansone; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael Sansone of Syracuse, Stephen and Debra Sansone of Burlington, N.C. and G. Michael Sansone of Oneida; four grandchildren, Alexandra, Ariel, Thomas and Sonya; two great-grandchildren, one great-great nephew and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the family plot in St. Helena’s Cemetery with the Rev. Dc. James Chappell officiating. There are no hours of visitation. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, N.Y. 13413 or Wanderers’ Rest, Box 535, Canastota, N.Y. 13032. Arrangements are under the direction of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida.
