VERONA BEACH » Ronald E. McEathron Jr., 41, Oneida Street, died early Saturday morning, July 15, 2017, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Verona Beach.

Born in Oneida, on Dec. 27, 1975, Ron was a lifelong resident of the area and received his G.E.D. diploma from Madison-Oneida BOCES.

Ron was employed with the Rapasadi Fence Company in Oneida. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed motorcycle­s, snowmobile­s, four wheelers and dirt bikes.

Surviving are his three daughters, Marissa McEathron of Arlington Heights, Ill., Maddy K. McEathron of Kernersvil­le, N.C. and Delilah McEathron of Munnsville; his son, R. T. McEathron of Verona Beach; his mother, Esther Cook Rousseau of Zephyrhill­s, Fla.; his four brothers and their wives, Rick and Lisa Risley of Oneida, Duane and Kathy Risley of Canastota, Steven and Laney Risley of St. Augustine, Fla. and Richard and Dawn Rousseau of Fairbanks, Alaska; his four sisters, Mary Rousseau of Blossvale and Yvonne and her husband, Keith Perkins of Edgewood, Md., Jen McEathron and Lisa McEathron, both of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predecease­d by two half brothers, Charles M. Risley on Nov. 20, 1987 and Greg A. Risley on Sept. 11, 2011.

Funeral services will be held 6 p.m., Wednesday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 S. Peterboro St., Canastota with the Rev. Frank Loan, officiatin­g. Friends may call at the funeral home, 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. Contributi­ons, in his memory, may be made to the Family Fund, c/o Duane Risley, 109 Taylor Ave., Canastota, N.Y. 13032.
